AU Backstory for Tainted Springs The war was not very kind to the kooky queen of Hogwarts. Her wrist was shattered while held by Death Eaters and she spent several months in Physical Therapy. Luna is still in rehabilitation for the wrist(to non Hogwarts friends it's from a car accident after Christmas) along with one thing she's only told her father,close friends and Draco: she was tortured and beaten by the same Death Eaters. When she was found by her friends in the Order she was a very changed Luna, the kooky sweetness had become much darker. After close to a year of rehab she decided to join her friends in America and somehow try to forget the war, but she can't... She still has trouble with her arm mostly due to ongoing pain from the wrist. But what made Luna unique is slowly coming back, the radish earrings are only the beginning of her recovery. After all she was spotted reading a magazine upside down. But will anyone outside of the Order and Hogwarts really understand what she's been through? The recovery process is still a daily battle in her case. She does have a unique bond with Hogwarts classmate Draco Malfoy. After spending the better part of a year in rehab with him has triggered an almost family like bond between them. Injuries: Shattered wrist(still in PT), nightmares, seems more depressed than before the Dark War, memories blanks due to being tortured, various healing cuts and bruises, still a touch too skinny and sometimes lives on painkillers.
